New Game On Tabletop Simulator
Published 17 days ago • 3 min read
Welcome to the Anagach Arts newsletter for April 2026.
Christoph here with the monthly goings-on! I hope you're all enjoying the beginning of Spring.
I don’t think it’s a stretch to suggest that most people reading this fall somewhere on the gaming spectrum between abstract family games and hardcore 4X big-box titles. No matter where on the slider you sit, we have some updates coming up to whet your appetite.
That said, if you are just here to support what we’re doing at the studio, we appreciate you nonetheless! Read on to find more ways you can show support.
Websites, Social Media & Twitch Streams,
There’s a strong chance that you signed up to this newsletter via our website. You may not have noticed but there is also a landing page just for All Hands On Decks! Please share this page around your fellow board-gaming friends, it’ll really help us out.
If you are on any of these platforms, please follow our social media profiles to get bite-sized updates or posts about games. Felix (pecananaloafers) and I (alpinecamembear) are also on Boardgame Geek if you want to add us there. Tell us what games you’ve been playing, and what new games you’re looking forward to.
We stream on Twitch every Wednesday at 8pm UK-time!
This week (8th April) is a special stream where I’ll be joined by Felix as we embark on the long-awaited show-off of the All Hands On Decks! Tabletop Simulator mod. Speaking of...
All Hands On Decks! Is Playable Right Now!*
*If you have an account on Steam and own a copy of Tabletop Simulator.
Okay, this is a pretty niche availability, but it’s a start! One day we might have a free mod on Boardgame Arena, but for now we’re using what we can to give you the chance to try the game out. Follow this link to go to the Steam workshop page, or search for All Hands On Decks! on the Tabletop Simulator workshop. Simply hit the +Subscribe button on the mod page and it’ll install when you next launch the game.

The instruction manuals are both on the table – simply follow the Quick Start rules as you play, and refer to the longer manual if you need to clarify something. There are some buttons you can use for convenience, however the draw card buttons currently deal to all players as turn order hasn’t been implemented in this version.
If you’re new to Tabletop Simulator, hold the left-alt key on your keyboard when you hover over cards or instructions to zoom in. You can get bigger images by zooming on a card and scrolling your mousewheel – this will also zoom the manuals in when you hold left-alt.

There’s still some work to do on this, but we’re really happy people finally have the chance to play our game. Let us know what you think!
The Road To Kickstarter
The journey to get this game to market has so far been long and winding, so much so that I’m working on a development blog for future newsletters, and there’s still some travelling to do.
The destination is finally coming into view in the shape of a Kickstarter campaign this Spring. You'll likely see an interim email from us when the Notify Me page goes live, but this time I want to tell you a little bit about what we have left to do before we’re ready.
Being an independent studio means we have full control over our projects and deadlines, but it also means we have no outside funding, and with marketing being the most expensive part of any product launch, you can probably guess that this is where we have the most work left to do.
I’ve been trying to network with influencers, but the ones who’ve responded don’t cover crowdfunding projects. There are a couple more irons in the fire on this, and some out-of-the-box networking methods that could well prove useful.
We’ll be making full use of short-form video content in the run up to, and for the duration of, the campaign. There’ll be comedy skits, informative videos and artwork spotlights all filmed and edited by the two of us, posted on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. As yet we still need to film and edit all of these.
The last hurdle to mount, and probably the simplest, is to finish putting the campaign together. We'll have a bit of time to do this after the Notify Me page is live, but we still need to create the graphic design for the project and flesh out the Story section.
We are relying somewhat heavily on grassroots marketing here, so while you’ve heard this from every content creator in existence, in our case it really is true that every little bit of engagement helps dramatically. When you see us start to post, please share with your friends and families. It really could be the defining factor in getting this off the ground.
